​​​​​Over the past 10 years, Dr. Mandy Bains has earned a reputation for her exceptional knowledge and dedication to providing personalized care in Optometry. With her warm and friendly nature, Dr. Bains understands each patient is unique and she takes the time to listen attentively, build trust, and ensure she addresses their specific needs. With this caring approach, she has been able to build and grow her practice.

Dr. Bains completed her Bachelors of Human Kinetics degree at the University of British Columbia, majoring in exercise physiology. With her strong passion for health care, Dr. Bains went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Vision Science, in addition to her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Eye Institute at Nova Southeastern in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Over the years, she has acquired experience in the treatment and management of ocular disease, and pre and post-operative lasik and cataract care for diverse patient populations in Florida, Texas, and Ontario. Her focus continues to be on primary eye care services, myopia management, and contact lenses. Now as a practice owner, Dr. Bains focuses on staying at the forefront of her field by embracing new technologies and staying up-to-date with the most latest advancements.

Dr. Bains is a member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists, the College of Optometrists of Ontario, and the Ontario Association of Optometrists. In her free time, she enjoys staying active and playing sports with her husband and two young children.

​​​​​Dr. Caitlyn Poon graduated with honours from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science, where she was a recipient of the Dr. Barbara Sivak Memorial Award. Her strong background in optometry was enhanced by her undergraduate studies in Biomedical Science with a minor in Chemistry also at the University of Waterloo.

With a passion for eye care and a commitment to improving patient vision health, Dr. Poon has gained experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of ocular conditions. Her externships in Grande Prairie, AB, and Mississauga, ON, have further enhanced her proficiency in foreign body removals and the co-management of complex diseases such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.

She is recognized for her patient-centered approach, delivering thorough eye examinations and customized treatment plans. Dr. Poon is also a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO) and the College of Optometrists of Ontario (COO).

She grew up in Scarborough, Ontario, where she spent many years playing competitive hockey. In her free time, she enjoys playing board games with friends and baking various treats.

​​​​​Dr. Mahdi is a licensed optometrist in Ontario with a Doctor of Optometry degree from Salus University in Pennsylvania. She has extensive experience in comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens fittings, and the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases.

Dr. Mahdi’s clinical background includes working alongside ophthalmologists at Einstein Hospital, where she gained valuable experience in pre and post operative cataract care as well as detection, documentation, and co-management of retinal diseases. Dr. Mahdi is passionate about educating patients on their eye health and providing the highest standard of care through evidence-based treatment and management options.

Beyond her professional work, Dr. Mahdi enjoys reading, traveling, and playing board games. She is also an active member of both the Canadian Optometry Association and the Ontario Association of Optometrists.

​​​​​Dr. Keefe Young obtained his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Guelph and went on to graduate from the University of Waterloo, earning a Doctor of Optometry degree with Distinction. While at the University of Waterloo, he completed his clinical externships in multiple sites, including one in rural British Columbia, where he gained a strong interest and valuable experience in the management and treatment of eye conditions, including glaucoma and dry eye disease. 

Dr. Young is dedicated to ensuring quality and personalized care for all his patients. He holds licensure with the College of Optometrists of Ontario and maintains membership in the Ontario Association of Optometrists.

In his spare time, Dr. Young enjoys travelling, following Toronto sports teams, and spending quality time with his friends and family, including his two cats, Hazel and Rauw.
